Hearts behind the mission
Two passionate teachers, united by their love for children with special needs, found more than just a classroom connection — they became instant Best Friends. One, a devoted stay-at-home mom with a heart for outdoor education, and the other, a dedicated special education teacher, discovered a shared dream: to create a Christ-centered school where both general education and special education students learn side-by-side. Their vision is a place where every child feels seen, loved, and included — a space filled with faith, life skills, and joy.
Then, a third friend joined the journey — bringing her own gifts, heart, and passion — and something even more beautiful began to grow. Together, they’ve created a wonderful atmosphere of purpose and deep connection, forming an unbreakable friendship trio. Time is precious, and while each one may give in different ways, their hearts are in full agreement: they are here to make unforgettable memories and devote time when they can rather its afterschool or summer camps or both. You will see us all around.
Together, they believe in building a community where neurodivergent families feel a true sense of belonging, and all children are empowered to grow in both ability and identity in Christ. God has tightly woven their hearts and paths together, and now they are taking the first step — launching after-school programs and camps as a foundation for something bigger. Their ultimate goal? A school where Jesus is the focus, life skills are lived out, and every child has a place to thrive.

My name is Crissy Wilson, and I’m the proud wife of 23 years to my amazing husband, and together we are raising two beautiful daughters, Chesney (17) and Cadie (13), both students at Voyager Academy. I currently serve as a Special Needs Teacher Assistant at Voyager, where I have the joy of working with incredible students every day. Faith is the center of our family’s life. We are active members of Revolve Church, where I lead our Special Needs Ministry and teach small groups. I’m passionate about sharing how God has transformed my life and helping others experience His love and purpose.

My name is Shannon Curry, and together with my husband, we have two beautiful girls. I’ve been in special education for 12 years and have spent the last 6 years at Voyager, where I’ve found a true passion for serving students and families. You’ll often find me outside, soaking up time at the lake or beach with my family, a good book in hand. I also love crafting and embracing every moment of being a mom. I find so much joy in surrounding myself with the beauty of nature — all the incredible things God has created. I’m deeply thankful for the role God plays in our family’s life and the guidance He continues to provide.

My name is Maggie Wilson. I’ve been married for three wonderful years, and we recently welcomed our first daughter into the world — an incredible blessing! I love spending time with family and friends, whether it's relaxing by the pool, shopping, or playing a round of golf. I’ve been a part of Voyager for the past three years, and it has become a meaningful part of my life. Christ is the foundation of our family, guiding our steps and strengthening our bond as we grow in faith and love together.
