My name is Crissy Wilson and I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Patrick for 23 years, and together we are raising two wonderful daughters—one a 17-year-old high school senior and the other a 13-year-old—both attending Voyager Academy. I have been a teacher assistant at Voyager for 7 years now. My family and I enjoy spending time together, attending church, and serving others in our community.
My Story
Honey Rock Hollow was born from a season of transition, prayer, and a growing passion placed on my heart by God. After my time as a stay-at-home mom came to an end, I accepted a position at a local outdoor preschool. Being outdoors has always been close to my heart, and I quickly saw how deeply children thrive when learning is hands-on, engaging, and connected to nature.
When I later returned to the classroom in a special needs setting, my eyes were opened even more. I saw the great need for neurodivergent students to have an inclusive place where they felt safe, accepted, and free to be themselves while learning in a way that worked best for them. This experience stayed with me and continued to grow in my heart. God really opened a door and allowed me to meet one of my greatest friendships in our classroom.
This is where we began hosting small summer camps, and through those moments, a deeper passion for serving our community took root. I found myself asking, What if there was an afterschool program that offered a smaller, more personal setting—while still allowing children of all abilities to learn, grow, and engage together? That question became the foundation of Honey Rock Hollow.
My ultimate goal is to one day open a small, one-room schoolhouse where Christ is at the center of everything we do. A place where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged, while learning life skills, building character, and growing in faith—all in a joyful, nurturing environment.
Honey Rock Hollow is more than a program; it is a calling, and I am excited to see how God continues to shape and grow this vision.
